What the organiser says
Transfers to a friend are officially supported. Log in to your UTMB Participant Dashboard and submit a transfer request before 5:00pm NZT 12 Feb 2027 (the day before the race). The receiving runner then registers and pays the EVENT the current advertised entry price — money goes to the event, not to you. Once their registration completes you are refunded your entry fee less a NZ$55 transfer fee. Same distance only; merch is not transferable; handing over a bib is banned.
