Brisbane Marathon transfer rules
At a glance
What the organiser says
Transfers are free online: sign in to your Active account and choose Transfer to another person. The incoming runner enters and pays the event for their own place before your credit is processed, so no money passes between the two of you. Same distance only. The organiser has not yet published its 2027 cutoff date, so confirm it before you rely on one.
Late transfers
After the online cutoff a transfer can still be done in person at the Transfers desk during registration, for $15, with the original confirmation email as proof. We don't hold a closing date for it, so we treat race day as the backstop.
Common questions
Can you transfer a Brisbane Marathon entry to someone else?
Yes. Brisbane Marathon runs an official transfer process and BibSwap only ever points runners at it. Active transfer, then in person at the event. Buyer pays the organiser. No payment between runners.
When does the Brisbane Marathon transfer window close?
We don't hold a confirmed transfer deadline for this event. Ask the organiser rather than assuming the window is open.
What does it cost to transfer a Brisbane Marathon entry?
Nothing. The organiser charges no transfer fee.
Who do you pay for a Brisbane Marathon entry?
Buyer pays the organiser. No payment between runners.
Taken from the organiser's own page, last checked 18 September 2026. We check these by hand and organisers change them without notice - confirm on the event's own site before you commit to anything. Where they differ from what's here, the event wins.
